The National Economic Empowerment Fund (NEEF) arranged a crucial engagement meeting at Sunbird Lilongwe Hotel, facilitated by MACODA, to develop an inclusive Disability Policy and create tailored products for persons with disabilities. The meeting aimed to gather valuable insights from disability rights actors and players, ensuring the economic empowerment and improved livelihoods of individuals with disabilities in Malawi.
The primary objectives of the meeting were to gather input and views on fundamental issues, practices, concerns, and experiences related to NEEF's products and services, to identify barriers and challenges faced by persons with disabilities in accessing NEEF's products and services and to inform the development of an inclusive Disability Policy and tailored products for persons with disabilities.

By engaging with disability rights actors, NEEF demonstrated its commitment to creating an inclusive and accessible environment for persons with disabilities.
The meeting facilitated a rich exchange of ideas and expertise, resulting in a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by persons with disabilities in accessing economic empowerment opportunities. Identification of key areas for improvement in NEEF's products and services as well as development of recommendations for an inclusive Disability Policy and tailored products.
