Between 22nd and 31st July, 2025, MACODA through its Community-Based Inclusive Development (CBID) programme, proudly welcomed partners from Hope and Healing International (HHI) who are visiting various initiatives they support across Malawi. The visiting team from HHI comprising Executive Director, Peter Kyalo Mwalimu and Digital Resource Specialist Ashleigh Evans is touring project sites in Lilongwe, Dedza, and Salima districts.
Their itinerary includes engagements with children who have undergone the Resilience and Adversities program, beneficiaries of the housing project in Dedza and other children benefiting from CBID interventions in Lilongwe and Salima.
During the visit, Kyalo commended the remarkable impact of the Resilience and Adversities programme, noting that it has strengthened the confidence and coping skills of children with disabilities, enabling them to rise above the challenges they face. He emphasized the need to expand the curriculum to other districts so that children with disabilities throughout Malawi can continue to overcome adversity and thrive.
On his part, the incoming Rehabilitation Manager, Charles Chipembere, expressed appreciation for the timely visit by HHI, noting that it will further strengthen the partnership between the two organizations and reinforce their shared commitment to improving the lives of children with disabilities in Malawi.
