Nelson Mandela once said "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." Absolutely, this powerful statement perfectly encapsulates the transformative impact of the Kamuzu Vocational Rehabilitation and Training Center (KVRTC) in Magomero, Chiradzulu.
As one of the key entities under the Malawi Council for Disability Affairs (MACODA), KVRTC has been instrumental in empowering youth, both with and without disabilities, since its establishment in 1984
Recently, 47 students successfully graduated from the center, having mastered various vocational skills. This cohort, comprising 39 students with disabilities, exemplifies the center's unwavering commitment to inclusivity and providing equal opportunities for all.
The graduates, equipped with skills in carpentry and joinery, tailoring, bricklaying, welding, mechanics, and agriculture, are now poised to become valuable contributors to their communities. This achievement is a testament to their dedication, resilience, and the unwavering support provided by the center's dedicated staff.
The Kamuzu Vocational and Rehabilitation Center serves as a beacon of hope, demonstrating that with access to quality education and vocational training, individuals can overcome challenges and build successful futures.
