KAMUZU VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION AND TRAINING CENTRE (KVRTC)
RESIDENTIAL AND NON- RESIDENTIAL VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMME
The Malawi Council for Disability Affairs (MACODA) is a Statutory Corporation established under the Persons with Disabilities Act (No. 4 of 2024) to promote and protect fundamental rights and freedom of persons with disabilities. One of the functions of MACODA is to provide vocational skills training to persons with disabilities through Community and Institutional Based approaches.
Under Institutional Based Approaches, MACODA has Kamuzu Vocational Rehabilitation and Training Centre (KVRTC) which is located at Magomero in Chiradzulu, 1.5 kilometers off Limbe -Zomba road. KVRTC offers vocational skills training for both persons with disabilities and those without disabilities.
KVRTC is inviting applications from interested candidates to enroll into residential and non residential vocational training programme which will commence at KVRTC on 17th March 2025. The duration of the training will be six months leading to an award of TEVET Certificate.
Courses Offered:
1. Fabrication and welding 4. Edible horticulture
2. Motorcycle mechanics 5. Carpentry and joinery
3. Tailoring fashion and designing 6.Bricklaying
Admission Requirements:
- Minimum of Junior Certificate of Education.
- Non refundable registration fee of K10, 000.00.
Fees are as follows: K590, 000.00 for boarders and K300, 000.00 for non-boarders.
